Our client is seeking a highly skilled Database Architect to support the Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS) program. CIPS is the system of record for IT infrastructure planning, funding requests, portfolio management, and geospatial documentation across the Air Force. This role ensures the CIPS system remains compliant, optimized, and secure within an AWS GovCloud environment.
This position is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday, with no remote-work capabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Administer and apply Oracle Database Quarterly Patches.
- Implement and test software patches and security fixes.
- Develop PL/SQL scripts, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Perform database exports/imports and manage database objects.
- Troubleshoot Oracle Database issues within the CIPS environment.
- Conduct database backups and archiving per the Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Monitor database performance and optimize system tuning.
- Execute PL/SQL tuning and shell scripting for system automation.
- Perform database and system administration tasks on Linux and Solaris Unix servers.
- Provide AWS environment support and database administration within Cloud One.
- Qualifications & Skills
- 5-7 years of experience with Oracle Database (12c).
- Proficiency in PL/SQL scripting, tuning, and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle RMAN, Oracle DataGuard, and Oracle Spatial (preferred).
- Familiarity with AWS GovCloud is a plus.
- Experience working with Microsoft Server operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Oracle databases.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
- Security+ Certification (Required).
