Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) operations in Orlando, FL. As a Systems Administrator II, you will:
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments supporting mission-critical systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, firmware, and enterprise applications.
- Configure user accounts, permissions, group policies, and system access controls.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and perform hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Maintain server configurations in compliance with DISA STIGs and cybersecurity best practices.
- Support vulnerability management activities using ACAS and other DoD security tools.
- Perform system hardening, patch management, and configuration management.
- Support VMware virtual infrastructure including ESXi and vSphere environments.
- Provide Tier I, II, and III technical support through the enterprise help desk.
- Assist with lab operations and provide technical support during scheduled testing events.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Engineering teams to implement secure, reliable infrastructure solutions.
- Maintain centralized logging solutions such as Splunk (or similar technologies).
- Support system documentation, change management, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- 3–5 years of Systems Administration experience
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree preferred (equivalent experience considered)
- Must be local to the Orlando, FL area
- Must be willing to work onsite full-time
