Our customer is seeking a Senior Backup and Storage Engineer to provide enterprise-level expertise in data protection and storage management. The role focuses on designing, maintaining, and optimizing backup and storage systems to ensure data integrity and recoverability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage enterprise storage platforms including NetApp SAN, Dell EMC Unity, and Dell EMC ECS.

  • Administer and maintain Commvault backup infrastructure.

  • Perform capacity planning, data migrations, and system upgrades.

  • Troubleshoot and remediate backup and storage issues.

  • Provide recommendations for hardware procurement and performance optimization.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to maintain compliance and resiliency.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise backup and storage engineering.

  • Minimum 3 years of Federal or DoD IT experience.

  • Expertise with Commvault, NetApp, and Dell EMC systems.

  • Strong knowledge of data protection, lifecycle management, and storage provisioning.

  • Certifications such as VMware, CCNA, MCP, or MCSA preferred.

  • Familiarity with RMF, DoD STIGs, and NIST 800-53 standards.

Clearance:
Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).
