Our customer is seeking a Mid-Level Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) Engineer to provide database engineering and administration for Microsoft SQL Server environments. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing SQL clusters to support secure, high-performing enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server clusters for enterprise workloads.

  • Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and reliability.

  • Configure SQL instances, access control, and encryption per best practices.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and backup teams to align with mission requirements.

  • Troubleshoot database issues, perform recovery, and ensure compliance with standards.

  • Support hybrid integrations with Azure SQL and AWS RDS.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration and engineering.

  • Minimum 3 years of Federal or DoD experience.

  • Expertise with SQL Server 2016/2019, clustering, and RedGate SQL Monitor.

  • Strong knowledge of database encryption, security, and performance tuning.

  • Windows Server administration and backup/recovery experience.

  • Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate certification preferred.

Clearance:
Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).
