Clearance: Active SECRET clearance 

Position Summary

The ISSE will support Navy RMF and cybersecurity engineering efforts, focusing on risk management, system hardening, and compliance. This role provides direct support for Assessment & Authorization (A&A), vulnerability management, and cybersecurity documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain RMF documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, SLCM strategies).

  • Support A&A activities (IATT, ATO, DATO).

  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation.

  • Implement and assess STIGs/SRGs.

  • Manage PPSM and security control testing.

  • Upload compliance data to eMASS and VRAM.

  • Patch and harden Windows servers, Cisco hardware, and IT assets.

  • Support incident response and configuration/change management.

  • Maintain inventories and perform audits of IT systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related STEM field.

  • 7+ years' experience in cybersecurity engineering, vulnerability management, and system hardening.

  • Must meet DoD CSWF baseline certification requirements (e.g., CISSP, CASP+, CCNP Security, GCED, GCIH, CCSP).

  • Active SECRET clearance.
